Description from the artist and designer DJ NEFF : I had the fortunate opportunity to design the VW Fast, a toy that was made to come with the GTI MKV when it launched in 2006. Working off the concept of a spirit totem, the idea of fast is sort of a demon, or the spiritual force that lives inside the Volkswagen GTI. The character is loosely based on a rabbit, but much darker, and who's sinister smile matches the grill of the car itself exactly. It was a really cool process, sculpting the idea at first, then transitioning to working in 3D with Neil Riddell to evolve the design.
