This design for "Stone Circles" first appeared in Rowan Magazine 28 knit in 4 shades of DK Soft.  It was enormously popular.  Rowan asked Kaffe to recolor the sweater in current yarns for the company's 30th anniversary and this is the result.  Very true to the stony look of the original, the felted tweed version is a delight to knit since it only uses two colors in a row. The jumper can be made in any of three sizes -- medium with a finished bust/chest measurement of 52 inches, large with a finished chest/bust measurement of 54 inches, or extra large with a finished chest/bust measurement of 56 inches.  Given nature of the chart you could size it up or down if you like.  Modeled on a Kaffe himself we think it would be equally suited to a woman.  The pattern includes simple shaping, a crew neck, inset drop shoulder sleeves, and striped rib bands.   It is suitable for intermediate knitters who are comfortable with the fair isle technique.  The pattern calls for a tension of 26 stitches and 30 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 6 (4 mm) needles .

Rowan Felted Tweed DK is still in production, although two of the required shades are discontinued and increasingly difficult to find.
Kit Contents:  In total the kit contains a copy of the pattern and a total of 19 balls of Rowan Felted Tweed DK, sufficient to make the sweater in any of the sizes:  Dragon (147), Carbon (159), Treacle (145), and Phantom (153).
