    INDIA-BRITISH, AR Silver Rupee, GEORGE V KING EMPEROR 1921 (b), Bombay Mint, Key* Date Coin, obverse : Crowned & Robed King George V striking portrait ( bust ) facing to left Surrounded by the lettering of the legend “GEORGE V KING EMPEROR” with Initials ‘B M’ in micro lettering at the truncation of the kings shoulder indicates the die engravers initials of the obverse who was an Australian sculptor & engraver Sir Edgar Bertam MacKennal at the Royal Mint, reverse: Denomination and date within double lined inner small circle, circular wreath surrounds the date divides legend in English & Urdu (Yek Rupya) “یک روپیہ” with the outside of the circle having a ornate wreath made of The roses of England, thistle of Scotland, shamrock leaves of Ireland at the top and lotus flowers at the bottom which is the floral emblem & the national flower of India, it can be seen at 6 o clock in the reverse also seen is a pellet (raised dot) below the lotus, all within a double lined outer bigger circle, also a toothed inner border is seen touching the edges of the coin the reverse of the coin was designed by Mr. Percy Brown who was the Principal of the school of art Calcutta, The coin has Reeded Edge, One of the most attractive examples of this type available with encapsulated certified slab & NGC guarantee.
