My offset hexagon steel grilles improves sound-stage, imaging and airiness and removes the restrictive and metallic sound of Hifiman's factory grilles. It's like a breath of fresh air for your headphones. Easy upgrade for improved sonic performance.
Compatible with all Hifiman  standard round cup models>HE-5,HE5E /HE-400,HE400I,HE400SE,HE400S-HE4,HE5LE,HE6,HE6SE,HE560,HE500 and variants/revisions..
Has 81% airflow- to -19% material ratio, with 1/4" hexagon holes with 9/32" staggered centers.
Made from 20 Gauge Carbon Steel stock.
HIGH QUALITY METALLIC PAINT WITH  EVEN PAINT COAT AND TRIPLE GLAZE OVERCOAT..GIVES LUSTER AND DEPTH.
MOST COLORS HAVE AN SMOOTH LOOK, EXCEPT HAMMERED SILVER, WHICH LOOKS HAMMERED.
OTHERS USES WEAKER ,SOFTER STAINLESS STEEL AND A WIDER STOCK THAN I DO..  HENCE A LOWER AIRFLOW TO MATERIAL RATIO AND A COMPRESSED SOUND PROFILE
**NO CHEAP LOOKING ANODIZING.!  IT LOOKS  FLAT AND HAS NO LUSTER OR DEPTH!**
PAINTING SIMPLY LOOKS WAY NICER THAN ANODIZING..YOU DON'T SEE CAR MANUFACTURES ANODIZING THEIR CARS, AS IT WOULD HAVE NO LUSTER OR DEPTH TO THE COLOR.!!!

Red mark on one side goes towards inside of earcup.

Due to the nature of the offset honeycomb design and the intersecting circumference of the grille, there will be areas at the end that are open on the edge which is completely normal.
*Do not purchase these if your Hifiman headphones do not have removable round 86mm grilles or if your not  comfortable installing these.
