Description
Offered for sale is abeautiful
antique opalescent glass dish or bowl made
by Northwood or Dugan (from Northwood molds) i
n ~1901. The pattern is called INVERTED FAN & FEATHER. It stands on four ornate curved feet, and has a beautiful blue color that fades to white opalescence at the rim. The rim has been pulled into eight points. The raised fan and feather pattern (picture 4) is on the outside of the bowl only; the inner surfaces are smooth and glossy.
The dish measures 6 1/2 inches (16.5cm) from point to opposite point on the rim, and stands 3 1/4 inches (8.3cm) tall to the highest point. It is shown with a U.S. quarter in the first three pictures, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance. This is a magnificent antique opalescent piece for your collection!
The dish is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. There are a few tiny bubbles sealed inside the glass, which are normal in antique glass and do not detract from the beauty of this item.
