1961 Volkswagen Five Millionth Car Commemorative, Silver Medal, To VW Dealers.

Very Scarce, 1961 Volkswagen Silver Medal, Commemorating The Building Of It's 5-Millionth Car, And The Sixteenth Anniversary of the Company.  The silver medals were given to worldwide Volkswagen Dealers only, which at the time were not a lot dealers, and I believe that I read somewhere that about 1000 were struck.  Similar Volkswagen medals were also struck in Gold, in two different sizes, which were given to Volkswagen Corporate members only, with very limited numbers struck. The medal features a Volkswagen "Beetle" automobile on the front, and a profile of the Company founder on the reverse.  Silver, 1000 fine, 40 mm diameter, and in nicely toned uncirculated condition.
