In 1933, Hitler was working hard to win the people of Germany over to his ideology. One of his main ideas was to create a car that was cheap and reliable - a car for the people, a car that the people could afford to own and run. He went to Dr. Porsche who was an engineer and had him and his people develop plans on producing a cheap, affordable and reliable car that everybody could own and take to get to work and enjoy driving with their family. He developed a system where the workers would earn stamps and glue them in a (stamp) book.  When the book was full, the people could trade their book in and be given a brand new car - a Volkswagen. This idea gave Hitler a huge following among the German people and led to his election as the Leader (Fuhrer).
This very rare 1939 people's car sales brochure reproduction has 4 full pages translating the original German text into English. This catalog is complete with original pictures and translated text. There is so much information on the facts and features on the original 1939 Volkswagen in this catalog that will enable you to truly appreciate the Volkswagen.  History, engineering, specifications, features - just about everything that a true Volkswagen enthusiast should know and be able to talk intelligently about.
This catalog is worth its weight in gold if you are a VW aficionado. This is the only one that I have seen and it is in mint condition.
